About the Event
The Professional Development & Leadership Institute was created by Latinas from diverse backgrounds in the private sector, government and educational institutions to offer career advancement opportunities.
The success of the annual event led to the coinciding student conference, the Youth Leadership Institute. The workshops are designed to motivate and encourage middle school and high school students to engage in dynamic sessions which will equip them with the tools and skills necessary to achieve their personal and academic goals. The institute emphasizes course selection, the importance of STEM, career opportunities, entrepreneurship, financial literacy in preparation for college, and wellness. Comprehensive academic and scholarship information is made available to the students and career options are highlighted.
